The emblem design for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is based on an original illustration drawn by Edward Roberts, a 19-year-old student at the University of Leeds. Edwards’s simple platinum line design, featuring purple and platinum, reflects The Queen’s continuous service and was selected by a judging panel of industry experts. The Jubilee Siesta is both a luxurious addition to the home and a commemorative keepsake that celebrates Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne.
We have carefully select only the best quality merino wool for our Jubilee Siesta blanket. The unique structure of wool has many inherent properties that cannot be replicated by any other natural or manmade fibre. Wool is sustainable and biodegradable, as well as being highly durable, flame retardant, anti-static, hypoallergenic and temperature regulating. These inherent qualities make wool the natural choice for a good night’s sleep. In fact, sleeping in and under wool has been scientifically proven to improve sleep quality by up to 25%.
Our blankets are manufactured at the historic Hainsworth Mill in West Yorkshire using skills passed down from generation to generation. Each blanket is woven and hand finished by our team of dedicated experts and craftsmen who proudly produce the finest blankets in England. We blend the wool, spin the yarn and weave each blanket entirely in-house on the widest looms in the UK, ensuring a truly beautiful finish and size that no other mill can match.
