Delivery of all stock is subject to availability. Orders will be processed and despatched within 28 days from receipt of order. Each and every blanket is lovingly bound, whipped, labelled and packaged by hand on receipt of order. Your patience enables us to ensure the highest of standards time after time.

The Siesta is woven from 100% merino wool for ultimate softness and comfort. The finer fibres of the Merino sheep, mainly found in Australia and New Zealand, are softer and less course than other types of wool, making for a luxuriously soft and comfortable blanket. Available in 6 modern shades from cool grey to deep camel, each Siesta blanket is finished lovingly by hand with whipped binding on all four edges for a contemporary finish.
We are very proud that our blankets are big! They’re designed to reach the floor on three out of four sides of your bed, ensuring even the most restless sleepers stay covered all night. We also know that modern mattresses vary in depth, and this can make a difference in what size you require.
If you have any doubts about measurements, we recommend working from the dimensions of the blankets rather than the traditional bed sizes. Our Sales Team are also on hand to offer advice – give us a call if you get stuck.
We carefully select only the best quality merino wool for our Siesta blankets. The unique structure of wool has many inherent properties that cannot be replicated by any other natural or manmade fibre. Wool is sustainable and biodegradable, as well as being highly durable, flame retardant, anti-static, hypoallergenic and temperature regulating. These inherent qualities make wool the natural choice for a good night’s sleep. In fact, sleeping in and under wool has been scientifically proven to improve sleep quality by up to 25%.
John Atkinson blankets are manufactured at the historic Hainsworth Mill in West Yorkshire using skills passed down from generation to generation. Each blanket is woven and hand finished by our team of dedicated experts and craftsmen who proudly produce the finest wool blankets in England. We blend the wool, spin the yarn and weave each blanket entirely in-house on the widest looms in the UK, ensuring a truly beautiful finish and size that no other mill can match.
